AnyDesk is a software that allows access to computers in remote locations. I had to permit my technician when he used that software to have access to my computer when I had issues that he had to look into Once the issues are taken care of permission is withdrawn. I could trust my technician who knows his limits but wonder if it is safe to do so at all times. What do you think? You can read more about it here

Anydesk and Teamviewer (another softwear that does the same thing) are commonly used by scammers. Be careful who you trust when granting permission. If you do not know the person well, or personally, don't give them access to your computer. That being said: watch what they're doing at all times. If they do something to your computer that makes you uneasy, cut them off and withdraw access.

Obviously no one is going to give access to strangers. I have added a link now to my post.

@allknowing You would be surprised at how many people do. In fact, remote connecting platforms like Anydesk actually warn against connecting to forgien computers for this very reason.

AnyDesk is one of those programs that we almost always remove from client's computers while we're working on. Most of the time when we ask the client if they use it regularly, they don't remember installing it, and it's so commonly used by scammers (along with others like LogMeIn, TeamViewer, Ultraviewer, and a few others) that we just err on the side of caution and take it off completely. It's very convenient when used correctly. When scammers get into computers with it, it can be a nightmare. One of my clients said that the scammers they were dealing with were opening all of their tax documents right there in front of them. Another had them log into his online banking and try to transfer money out of his account!
