A Tree Caught Between Trees

United States
January 13, 2024 9:42am CST
I looked out my window yesterday to see a tall slender tree that had fallen. It is leaning between to upright trees. From the looks of the tree, had it fallen it would not have fallen near the house or my jeep. It would have fallen in the opposite direction. I recall thinking how fortunate we are that the other trees prevented the fall. There are lots of trees around us. We were just blessed this time.

Yeah, we have a metal roof also. It would be quite alarming.

We are fortunate that none of our trees fell. Stay safe and warm and enjoy your day.

I know when it gets windy and heavy rain or snow it can be very scary, especially when you have tall trees close to your house

I'm certainly glad. It looks as if it would have joined the vacant wooded area.

Yeah they are awful. I live in the woods and are surrounded by tall trees. It's scary.

Being surrounded by trees will make you wary when strong winds blow.

I'm happy the tree didn't fall completely and that the other trees prevented it. There are two trees behind my home that fell today because of the big rain. But it fell on open field and no one was hurt.

Good to hear. I imagine it will get worse before it gets better.
