Republican governors in 15 states have refused food money for children during the summer

Ah yes the pro-life party cares so much about children. Women are forced to give birth and have kids but damned if Republicans want to pay for health care, housing assistance, schools, free school lunches, etc. (and don't get me started on all of the school shootings that they are fine with as long as they can keep their AR-15s ) They refused to vote for continuing free school lunches for all students after COVID calmed down. Now 15 Republican governors are rejecting bipartisan aid which would give low-income families $120 in food stamps extra per child per month during the summer when schools are closed and free lunches aren't available. Most of those governors are in states with the highest levels of child proverty. The excuses range from not believing in welfare to the fact that the money would be used to promote childhood obesity. Yes that's right--STARVE CHILDREN BECAUSE YOU NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT! This is outrageous and these people have no right to call themselves "pro-life". They are pro-birth and screw the kids and their families once they are actually born. Hypocrites.
