I called the cardiology place (which thankfully is in town) and spent a bit of time on hold, but not too long. After that, I spoke to a lady about possibly getting an appointment sooner. After the lady I spoke to looked, she said there was nothing earlier than my appointment open, but that I could register for this thing called MyChart and see if there were any earlier appointment coming up. I signed up for the website, and I could see all of the dates I've been to the emergency room/hospital, and the doctor's notes from when I visited. I tried reading them, but of course they were mostly in "medical-ese" so I didn't really get a whole lot of it. I did find where I'm able to check about appointments. Right now, I need to get some lunch. Hoping all is well with you in your part of myLot land!
