Collecting is often just Hoarding for the Organised?

A reel popped up on Facebook showing someones "beautifully organised" scented candle collection. This wasn't a box or even a whole shelf of candles, it was a whole room! Who needs that many candles? Surely most of the scents will be gone by the time they get around to using them? Do they even use them or do the just "collect" them? Surely this is just compulsive shopping and hoarding even if it does look neat and tidy? What do you think?

That’s a good question. Does she burn them? If she doesn’t use them for their actual purpose I would lean towards it being hoarding.

I stopped collecting anything as It needs to be cleaned. But I guess that's a collection

I guess that if they are tidy it is a collection. But it is not easy to decide what is hoarding. I could not live in a house with no furniture, some books and some paintings.

I stopped collecting things. I want to downsize, not get more clutter. That person could be collecting; but collecting does tend to get out of hand sometimes. Have a good day.
