I spent the afternoon curled up with my book. It was a good distraction especially since it's lighthearted and funny.
One of my favorite authors is Janet Evanovich and the book I'm reading is Dirty Thirty.
It's the 30th book in this series and I've read every one of them.
Her main characters are in each book so it just feels like you're visiting with friends.
I highly recommend these books if you like to laugh.
What are you reading these days?

I do..I never read anything by her. I thought she wrote murder mysteries. I am reading The Shining. It has been a long time since I read it the first time.

I loved the Shining and the movie was good too. I haven't read a Stephen King in a long time even though he used to be one of my favorites

@Marilynda1225 Not too much of a fan of some of his later work, although I liked Cell. It had too many pages. I watched the movie instead.

I had put aside six new books to read while I was recovering from foot surgery, but since I don't have to have it, I can start reading those books. Yay!

That sounds like a plan. It's great that you don't need your foot surgery

I love Stephanie Plum too, but I've only got from 1 to 27... better start looking for 28-30.
Currently, I'm going through my 'Magical Cats' (incomplete) collection by Sofie Kelly (or Sofie Ryan for her 'Second Chance' series).

I just love Stephanie Plum and the antics are so funny. So far not one of these books has been disappointing.

I am just starting a book called The Midnight Library by Matt Haig. One of the YouTube/Instagram Influencers I follow recommended it.

After reading Just your type and Please Understand me II, I read Building blocks of personality type.
Those books are interesting because they make me understand person can be so different when it comes to temperament...Building blocks of personality type enables me to understand the different cognitive functions. Each MBTI temperament has auxiliary and dominant functions..

@Marilynda1225 true...I found out I have this sensitive temperament ..I realize how important it would be for parents and guardians to know their children's temperament and find ways to develop it..

I started to read a book; but it didn't grab me. I will attempt it again soon. I want to know if it gets better. Your book series sounds good. Have a great day.
