Jonesboro Police Officer Troy Ellison was in the right place at the right time on Sunday morning when a young boy whose age and name was not released sneaked out of his home that he shares with his mother when he fell into a frozen pond by accident. Officer Ellison was the closest person who took the initiative to make an effort to rescue the child who would have drowned in the frozen pond had the officer not taken the actions of rescuing the child who was struggling to stay afloat. Officer Ellison with the help of the Jonesboro Fire Department firefighter Lieutenant Shon Morris assisted the police officer to get the child out of the frozen pond and take him to a local hospital to be taken care of due to the exposure to the elements. The good news is that the child is expected to make a full recovery. The child told his mom that he will never go near a frozen pond again. Link is msn.com/en-us/news/us/...

Bravery and initiative. I wonder why the boy was sneaking out of his home.

Yes, this might have been disastrous, but for the quick work of that Police office, and also the Fireman too.

That is so dangerous. I'm glad the child will not go near the pond again.

And the child should not sneak out of the house again. I'm glad he was rescued.

Hopefully the child has learned his lesson not to get near a frozen pond since he was lucky to have been rescued.
