Do You Like Apples?

The apple, which is a fruit, was domesticated 4,000 - 10,000 years ago in the Tian Shan Mountains in Central Asia. There are approximately 7,500 types of apples; and they are bred for cooking, eating raw and cider or apple juice production. In 2021 worldwide production of apples was 93 million tons; China accounted for nearly half of that. Some of the apple types: Fuji, Gala, Golden Delicious, Delicious, McIntosh, Granny Smith, Winesap, Pink Lady, Jonathan, Rome and Cortland. I like the mealy textured apples over the crisp ones. My favorites are Rome and McIntosh. What are your favorites? What is your favorite thing to make from apples? Photo Credit: Pixabay

I eat apples everyday with my dinner for good digestion. I mix it with my fruit juice. I love the Simla apples that grow on India and are very sweet.

I don't know what brand of apples I buy but I buy to eat without the peeling & I love apple pies but I can't have them cause of my sugar, so I just cut 1 up & have it for a snack or with a meal.

I pretty much like all apples. My house likes what is called Gold and delicious. They are small apples that are not too sweet. Like the kind that reminds you of apple juice. The perfect size for snacking on and they are not as big as Red apples. They are red and yellow.

Love, love, love apples!!!! I get sugar-free apple pie filling (0 points for 1/3 cup) for a dessert, and a nice crisp apple (I’m the opposite of you) is always a go-to snack.

These days I don't really eat apples by themselves. I put them into salads instead. Some of the ones I eat are Honeycrisp, Comic Crisp, Ambrosia, Ginger Gold, Snapdragon, Lemonade, and Granny Smith.

Of course as long as not the stale or unripe one, but the best one is when you can make something out of it such as apple juice, apple pudding, apple jelly but not apple pie, somehow it becomes too sweet.

I love all kinds of apples but I am lazy to slice and peel them. My mom spoiled me by always bringing me sliced apples while I was watching TV. I very much like apple pie and might look for one when I make my next grocery order,

Yes and no. That is, I have a love and hate relationship with any kind of fruit. I love to hate it. lol. It's not always necessarily the flavor. It's usually the texture. But whatever it is, I just don't like fruit. I don't MIND it SOMETIMES. It's not awful. It just doesn't MOSTLY go in my mouth.

@LindaOHio Sometimes. I will sometimes use fruit in a dish. Pork and apples or pineapple is good, for example. Even though I don't have a sweet tooth, I like it in pies.

@LindaOHio I do like them, raw or as applesauce. I do not like them baked though....so I would never eat apple pie, or other desserts with apple. It's a texture thing. Though cake made with applesauce is delicious lol
