Thanks to the efforts of four members of the United States Coast Guard who were on a work detail at the Port Of Houston on Wednesday January 31, a female dog that was trapped inside of a container shipping containers was barking which got the attention of officer Ryan McMahon who along with his three partners managed to geta crane to take down a shipping container that was 25 feet off of the ground. When the shipping container came to the ground level when the shipping container was opened, a female dog came out of the shipping container a little bit skinnier after she spent eight days inside of the container without food and drinks. Officer McMahon and his three assistants took the dog that was given the name Connie the container dog to an animal shelter in Pasadena Texas where the rescue group Forever Change Animal Rescue has taken Connie in and are working on getting her healthy and be placed up for adoption. How did Connie wind up inside of a shipping container and where the did the ship come from is not known. Link is msn.com/en-us/news/us...

I am in agreement with you that Connie is alive and well despite being in a container for one week.

Connie was very lucky that someone heard her barking. Another day or two and she would have been too weak to bark.

Eight days without food, or water, it is surprising that anything could survive for that long, in such conditions, maybe it is dogs, also like cats, that have nine lives too.

That is a good question since the report did mention how the dog was inside of the container.
