My PeacockTV Experience

I canceled my subscription to PeacockTV a few days before February set in. I canceled both on Roku and online. Then on Feb.2, I see in my checking account that they are charging me my monthly fee. But it is pending. I was trying to call them to be sure my account was not going to be dinged again. I called them a few months ago and got a very nice representative. Very helpful, polite, and patient. I checked old papers and such for the number that I had used then but couldn't find it. So now I just need to check on my account. Make sure it is closed and that the pending monthly fee won't go through. So I check Google. Under Peacock TV customer care I find a toll-free number and try it. It's Dish. The system won't allow her to check for a number for me. I check some more get another number and try it. It just has a constant busy. I tried it again several times. Then I find a New York number and try it. That's NBC to comment on a show. Nope. The alternative number to that just rings. I go through about 6 other numbers and none are Peacock TV. Why the heck don't they have a number and take care of their customers? I will never subscribe to them again. I don't know what happened but cannot find a number anywhere. I went ahead and checked the other apps I subscribe to(Hulu, Netflix, ParamountPlus, AMC+, and Philo) and each of them has designated 800#s. I worked in customer service for 30+ years so I am very sensitive as to whether I am getting good service or not. Am I naive? Maybe but when I have a question I want to talk to someone. That is sneaky, but so many companies do that these days. Is there a chat session offered on their website that you could engage in for these charges?

@Juliaacv .......I did put a stop payment on this. That's where I got the number I called today. The scam center.

@celticeagle Seriously, you have to pay for communication as a customer to the business? That is insane. Can you put a stop payment on any more charges that may come out of your account?

I subscribed to Peacock for one month to watch a football game only shown on Peacock. Immediately after the game, I got online and canceled it. It was so easy, but now after reading your post, I’ll keep a lookout to make sure they truly don’t charge me again.

Oh no Celt I hope you can cancel that..it it's on a credit card call the card company.they'll stop it. If it's debit or bank acct, surely they'll take care to stop the charges.

I can understand your frustration. I would give the payment a couple days to process. If the money is not returned to your account, have your bank block the subscription so it can't keep charging you.

Some say you have to cancel a week before payment is due to avoid being charged for the next month. That could be what happened. As for a phone number I don't see one but you can search for peacock TV on FB or Twitter the help page says

Sorry you had all this trouble, I hope you can get it all straightened out, I have never had a subscription because I know I cannot afford to have any extra money taken from my account each month. I am still pissed at Peacock because for a while I could watch my favorites like Chicago Med for free and then they started pushing for me to go Premium, I have not been back to Peacock since It was good when some things were free,

I have the free version of Peacock. I hardly use it. But I have been a little bit mad at NBC because I try to watch La Brea on my Roku tv and it keeps giving me errors.

@celticeagle I had lousy cable before Netflix came into my life. It took forever for me to cancel my subscription with them and they would contact me for a while and now they do not bother me. I never went back to them because they were no good and there was nothing to replace them till Netflix came along. Good luck and stand your ground and make sure you are done with them.
