There is a wonderful crocodile park in Dubai. I had mentioned about it earlier but now I will give you some more details about it. Most of the crocodiles in this park are from Africa. The African crocodiles are basically from the Nile River and the Nigar. They grow to a length of about 20 feet and live for at least 3 to 400 years.
One point that impressed me rather interested me was the feeding of the crocodiles. The park authorities feed the crocodiles, once a week every Saturday. I reached on Saturday to watch the crocodiles being fed but reached a little late and so could not witness the feeding, I understand that the crocodiles eat very little just about five kgs of meat per week. Most of the time they just laze around in the sun.
There are at least 3 to 400 crocodiles here and there is also an excellent museum that gives the history of the crocodile and how the animal developed. It's a wonderful place to visit. I remember I had seen a similar crocodile park in Bikaner in India which was run by the Maharaja of Bikaner, however, the PARK in Dubai is better maintained and it's a must-visit for a tourist.
