bradman was too good....not comparable to the rest....but yes, ponting is proving to be the best batsman of this era....his consistency in tests is amazing..

ponting has been really good in last two years...but is he consistent enough....that we can know when he goes on to score more runs than sachin and lara...for the info he is approximately 2000 runs behind......so,even in this era i am not sure if he is the best cricketer...or rather test cricketer...

Well every player is important and essential to his team in its own terms and they cant be compared.there talents are natural.Ricky is the most successful captain and also a very good player so do Sir Don bradmann was.there is no point of comparing their strengths.

each and every player is great in himself and no body should be compared as the time in which they have played is different....

I believe that there are similarities to Bradman in Ponting's technique as a batsmen. I don't think they are easy to compare, obviously different era's are hard to compare. I have seen a lot of footage of Bradman & everyone has seen Ricky Ponting bat for a day or so at times. It has always been apparent to me when Ponting is on the front foot he looks Bradman like. Probably not so much when playing back.

aussies are the best.....ponting is the cause.he not onlyu is great modernday batsman but an ambassador...probably he would have scored as many centuries as bradman...in my view he is a complete match for the former....

Yes!!! I totally agree with this Comment and undoubtedly Ricky Ponting or also known as (Punter) is arguably the best batsman in the world and if there is a person that one could compare with the likes of Sir Donald Bradman is none other than the Aussie Captain himself,He is not only a match winner but also a terrific fielder and the best Captain that i have ever seen in my life leading any team.!!! Go Ricky GO!!!
