Good afternoon. I like Dark Chocolate Dove Promise chocolates. One quote says, 'If you can't go right, go left. I've done a bit of that today. I'm halfway through the preparations for today's dinner party. I have the apple crisp out of the oven. Instead of broccoli, I'm serving caramelised carrots. The potatoes are ready to cook. The carrots are ready to go in the oven. I cracked the peppercorns. If I don't have enough, I can grind more. The filet mignon is ready. All I need to do is prep it. I'll do it soon. It's going on two p.m. They will be here at six. I just took the garbage down and brought up the coffeepot from the community room. I know timing is everything and I hope the timing is perfect and I don't jump the gun in getting it all ready. I just finished pealing the garlic. That was fun. I never did that before either. I set the table, so I don't need to do it later. By the way, I never made caramelised carrots before either. Today is rife with a few firsts. It should be fun as it comes together. The only thing I have made before is cheesy mashed potatoes. It's going to be a fun dinner party. Have you experienced any firsts recently? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.
