How many of you remember it?
I remember in childhood when we didn't had various channels of TV to watch and no internet then radio was the only way of entertainment.
With the time people have almost forgotten radio and I think very few of us listen to it. It has lost popularity now a days.
Let's celebrate world radio day.

@sjvg1976 While I'm guilty of plugging my phone in while riding in the van, I use it to charge my phone or get directions sometimes. I prefer the radio, because it's more stable and doesn't cut out or crash like Apple Car play, or Android Auto could do.

Thank you. I grew up with only radio and still prefer it to TV. These days I like internet radio, I get to get many stations and cultures from around the world without having to faff about with FM and AM dialing.
Give this one a try on a laptop. I think the app is blocked for some regions:

I did not know that this day was radio day. But do remember that when I was younger, my father used to tune in to radio station at night listening to drama.

I remember the days when my relatives and myself would travel to the countryside of Panama to visit my late grandmother. Since there was no television or electricity, we only had shortwave radio and lanterns.

@sjvg1976 thanks Sanjeevji it is a very informative tool.It is harmless. TV affects the eyes. In case of radio it is soothing for ears

We used to listen to radio too when I was a baby. Technology has made us forget the radio. I'm glad it is world radio day.

I was not aware of the Radio Day. Well, radio was our next source of entertainment even while television was there. I used to listen to the latest movie songs, news and dramas . In my childhood used to have a radio schedule . A few years prior, used to listen to FM radios via mobile phones and internet but not as frequently as was in childhood. I still listen to FM radio while driving .
