Noreaster passing off to the East so it is super windy today as well as cold. Although we will not get any snow out of this system here, they will to the North. Nico has been fascinated with all the items blowing around. He loves a big wind. However, he has now decided Mommy's shoulder is the place he wants to be, and has become my own personal cat parrot..he says instead of a cracker he wants treats. Where is your pet's favorite place to sit on you?

I think it is cute when he does it. He knows right where to sit so he doesn't interupt my typing. He is being really good today. He was a holy terror yesterday..so I appreciate the change.

@snowy22315 I wonder what made him a holy terror yesterday. I'm glad he's being good today.

Nico is an inside cat, I am sure he loves to see stuff flying around when the wind blows. My cat does not like to sit on my lap, but he loves to sit on my feet.

@LadyDuck I like it better when he is sleeping beside me. He is galloping around here thisorming..is sounding like 10 cats instead of one. What a personality..

@snowy22315 Cats can walk as light as feathers but they can be very noisy if they decide to let us know that they are around.

@snowy22315 - I am fine with Gevi sleeping on my feet during winter, he is a warm and soft kitty.

I had two pets, one turtle and one female dog. Their name was Paggy and Grasya, but both of them were gone. I don't want to have any other pets now as the pain of losing them is unbearable. Grasya used to sit on my lap, but Paggy didn't, as he always wanted to walk all over my room. Sometimes, I would put him in the garden. One time, I thought I lost him, as he never stopped walking without direction, I believe. Turtles are like that; they walk and walk anywhere their feet take them.

I had some small turtles for pets when I was a kid..Unfortunately, they did not live too long. I don't recall them ever sitting on us.

@wittynet I think my kitty would find a turtle entertaining..but would probably have to stay in motion.

@snowy22315 Yes, turtles don't sit. ?? They always walk. I remember my turtle sometimes going under one of our dogs while our dog was sitting on the floor in our sala. Our dog didn't care at all. Compared to one of our cats who used to chase my turtle and then stopped and wondered when the turtle stopped and hid all its legs. I couldn't stop laughing whenever I saw our cat do that, chase, then stop when the turtle stopped. I can't explain the reaction of our cat losing interest when my turtle seemed not to be moving at all and looked like a hard rock. It happened several times a day. It's such a good and funny thing to watch.

Nico is such a character. Does he ever dig his claws in trying to hang on?

We had a dog that was terrified when he would hear the rain or wind because he knew that thunder might follow. He would claw at me and try to get in my lap. Poor baby. Have a good day.

Aww, the cat I had when I had a tornado here was terrified of storms after that and would meow whenever it thundered or the winds would kick up.

Yeah it's been windy here too. Lily, Susie, and Doodlebug love sitting on my lap. Buster won't sadly. My mother says he sits on her chest. We have tried to get him to sit on our lap, but he won't. Lily also loves to lay on my chest when I am laying down.

Nico likes laps. He loves to lay in the crook of my arm too. I had one that would never sit on laps but like to sit beside you on the arm of the chair.

How sweet that Nico feels safe on your shoulder. When we had Buttons, anywhere on us is where she loved to lay. Ginger was complete opposite. She was content to be in the same room with us but not on us, ever. She may have laid next to us a few times, that was as close as on us as she ever got.

That sounds nice. Maybe you should take in a foster or two and see how it goes. They don't have to be kittens.
