It has been a while since my last post and thought it was time that I posted something again.
Happy New Year and being as today is Valentine's Day, Happy Valentine's Day to those who are celebrating the day,
Speaking of Valentines it's a day in which we celebrate our loved one no matter who they might be including if the one we are celebrating might just be ourselves.
Sometimes Valentine's is hard for some as they may have recently lost their loved one and its the first one in years that they have had to recognize the day by themselves.
Once again Florists are making a killing on roses and other flowers, Chocolate companies are in on the event to make a few extra dollars before their next big event of Easter with easter eggs and other easter things.
Don't forget the jewelry stores too it's their big chance to get their cut into the holiday market and last but not least Victoria's Secret is doing its bit too and their competitors.
So with that being said a nice home-cooked meal at home with a lovely evening in is worth just as much as something that with time will end up either in the compost, the trash, or on your hips that you spend the next 6 months at the gym trying to burn off.
Oh yeah for all you self-conscious people the gift might just be a gym membership as a subtle way of saying "Hey dough boy, I love you but you need to lose some pounds"
Showing love is something we should be doing every day of the year to the special person in our lives not just every February 14th.
We can show that love by cooking a home-cooked meal or we can go out of the way to show that love by lightening the load for our loved one.
If there are kids in the mix of your relationship and you are away at work all day leaving the loved one at home all day to deal with the kids perhaps running a bubble bath for them so they also can destress because they too can use the pampering.
Just because you have been stuck in the office working don't forget the one at home is also working without the thanks of the mighty dollar to be rewarded.
Are you a baker? perhaps after a long day in the bakery bring home some velentines cookies to share with your loved one.
Kick back and watch a romantic movie before bed.
Remember it's a day to show love and don't forget that our pets love to have attention on them also.
Perhaps a new cushion for the cat or a big old Bone from the butcher on your way home for the dog.
Even if you are by yourself this Valentine's Day you can spoil yourself too.
take a bubble bath and tell yourself that you are special and deserve the love too.
Any way
Happy Valentines Day
Till next time
