Sowing for the Summer.

My seed compost arrived late yesterday - it was dark and raining so I just put it on the patio until today. Having cleaned out the pots and seed trays, I today sowed two types of chillis 1) Basket of Fire and 2) Heatwave. I also sowed some sweet peppers called King of the North which can apparently tolerate temperate climates. I also started some tomato seeds called Alicante because the Mother in Law requested those. As there are 75 seeds in a packet I'm starting some in February and some in March and will compare to see if starting a month earlier makes much difference. The moon is waxing and as they are above-ground plants it is supposed to help them - at least according to my Moroccan neighbour!

I hope that they all grow well and you get some good produce. I have some tomatoes and brinjal ( egg plant) ready to be harvested on this weekend. My terrace garden needs some care, especially the weeding and cutting. Though we have vegetables and flowers growing well, the whole garden looks like a jungle

I've been considering brinjal but I might buy a small plant from a nursery rather than growing from seed. It will have to stay in the greenhouse.

@KarenAnne I grew some from the seeds that I got from the nursery. Happy that they are doing good this year. They didn't grow so well last year.

You got quite a bit done! I don't know about the moon waxing; but I hope they all do well. Have a good day.
