Do you crave Ginger Ale when flying?

So there we have it - ginger ale is the go to drink when flying.
It apparently has to do with the festive feeling while flying or some psychosomatic feeling of comfort.
To quote: “When you think of flying, you just think of ginger ale.”
Hmm, nope. The thing I tend to think about when I'm finally released from the clutches of the stupidity at the airport and got my frame squeezed into its mini container for the duration is how long I'm going to have to wait for fresh air.
I'll stick to water and a few cups of coffee. Do you crave ginger ale as soon as you climb on a plane?

Ginger works for preventing motion sickness, so it is possible your body craves ginger ale to prevent motion sickness for you.
