Do you crave Ginger Ale when flying?

So there we have it - ginger ale is the go to drink when flying. It apparently has to do with the festive feeling while flying or some psychosomatic feeling of comfort. To quote: “When you think of flying, you just think of ginger ale.” Hmm, nope. The thing I tend to think about when I'm finally released from the clutches of the stupidity at the airport and got my frame squeezed into its mini container for the duration is how long I'm going to have to wait for fresh air. I'll stick to water and a few cups of coffee. Do you crave ginger ale as soon as you climb on a plane?

Same as @Fleura, Ginger ale never crossed my mind when we used to fly often. On a plane I crave for nothing, everything they serve is horrible. A bottled tonic water with a slice of lemon is the only thing I order.

Ginger ale absolutely never crosses my mind, certainly not on a plane! When I read the title I thought perhaps it was to do with ginger soothing the stomach and thus helping with travel sickness, but it seems not...

Ginger works for preventing motion sickness, so it is possible your body craves ginger ale to prevent motion sickness for you.
