Travel Plan: Rhine Falls

Have I told you that my friend and I booked for our weekend vacation in Switzerland before my husband was hospitalised? Well, I thought I will not be able to pursue this travel plan but yesterday my husband said , ”of course you can go. I am okay now and it’s only a weekend.” Anyway, it is still in August. I have always wanted to visit Rhine Fall in Switzerland and so my friend and I booked last January before the prices went high. For 2 nights and 3 days, we only had to pay 233€uro for the back and forth flight and the hotel. We are already excited thinking about our short travel. I love waterfalls and I have been thinking of Rhine Falls decades ago and it is one on my travel list. Do you have any travel plans this year? Where would it be? Thank you for reading. The famous Rhine Fall above Meiringen, where Sherlock Holmes fought with Moriarty. You had a good deal for the flight and the hotel, Switzerland is expensive for what concerns the hotels. My husband is not well, we have no plans to travel.

@thelme55 I have read Sherlock Holmes novels and also watched the British TV series. Switzerland is expensive because salaries are so much higher than in the rest of Europe.

@LadyDuck I have also read some books of Sherlock Holmes and watched the British tv series before. They are good. Yes, I have heard about the prices there and of course the salaries. I think I have to change Euro to Swiss money.

It is wonderful that you'll get to go on your trip. My wife and I have plans to visit may places in our camper this year. Some are old favorites, some are new and we are excited to learn about them.

Yes. I wanted ages ago to go there but were not able to go. This time, I talked about Rhine Falls to my best friend and she like to go too and so we booked. Our husbands are not good in walking and so we decided to go without our hubby’s. Thank you @Marilynda1225.

Good you did not have to cancel. We've got to renew visas so probably a train trip to Baku or Yerevan, or a flight to Istanbul or a bus trip Volvograd - we'll see at the time what looks the most exciting. Enjoy your week as well
