Footprints of the Dragon

Last night it rained. But more than water it was wind that created havoc in the garden. The dahlias were bowed low, almost stooping to the ground accepting with humility their 'mistake' of standing so tall. It was a punishment that nature gave them I think, or who knows what. Our garden is considered the most beautiful, in our area. No, we haven't got any prize but during the winter months, there are people seen more often than once taking selfies with our garden at the background. There are marigolds, pansies, tulips, geranium, jasmine, chrysanthemum, hibiscus, calendula, etc. We also have a kitchen garden where we grow carrots, beetroot, radish, brinjals, tomatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, beans, cabbage, coriander, chilies. However the seasonal plants suffered tremendously by the dragon gale and gave a very hard time to the gardener this morning. The sight of the petals strewn on the green carpet is not a pleasant sight. It reminds me of a cat feasting on a chicken.

It's dull and rainy here too today, and windy aswell. We're going to the big Tesco this afternoon! Fortunately we will be mostly indoors, there is an undercover car park so the only time we will be out in the rain is when we're going from the house to the car, and from the car to the house again afterwards. Your garden does sound beautiful. We don't have as many flowers as you do. And I wish I could grow vegetables. Maybe when I'm married and got a house of my own I will do that. I'm sorry your plants suffered from the gale. I hope you are well. Have a nice day.

I'm sorry to hear that. Sometimes staying indoors can be relaxing. You can dig down memory lane that may trigger something good and prompt you take up something, I don't know. But sometimes looking outside the window outside you can lose yourself from the world for sometime. Thank you for your comments on my garden. I did upload a pic of my garden but it's not reflecting here.
