If one has had negative thoughts their life, how so they switch to positive things?
I want to get rid of my negative energy but need ideas from people here how to do it.
So, I know little by little to do it, but my situation has gone on long enouh. I need suggestions here and I will have to decide what is best for me.
Please let me know your thoughts on the subject.
Thank you.

It's important to break things down into smaller chunks. For example I had a rough start to the morning. I spilled a carton of my husband's formula on the floor. However, I just got another month's supply. I could've let the mess ruin my day, but I chose not to. I tried to find the positive in it. I had a carry over carton from a day when I couldn't get four feeds in. Now I have just the right amount. And, George got his feeds today. I guess I'm saying, learn not to sweat the little things.

actually, it is not that. I have an evil demon or very bad spirit harassing me and am surrounded by bullies where we live right now causing me problems. I do not like them and they do not like me and spread lies about me. I want to move from here and want to banish the evil spirit and no one seems to understand here. They believe me but I need to find a solution.

@Hannihar There's not a whole lot you can do about the bullying, except not react. A bully can only bully if they get a reaction from their victim. You can only be responsible for yourself and the choices you make, not the actions of others. The advice I've given you, is sound advice. It'll help you ignore your bullies, until you can find the means to move. As for the demon, I don't know what I can tell you to do about that.

@Hannihar I'm sorry to hear that. Sometimes it does feel as though the Lord has forgotten us, or even let us down. But I have learned over the years that when it feels like that, often He is working in the background and working in ways we do not understand. I love reading the Psalms when I feel this way. David often felt let down and scared and lost. Yet in every instance he declared "But God..." He always remembered that no matter how bad things looked, he still trusted that God was going to take him through. Psalms give me hope. God is always on time, never late. His timing is not our timing. He sees the end from the beginning. I liken that to a long parade, and He is in a position where He can see the entire parade. He knows how each and every part is placed and what is going to happen. He knew us before we were even yet born. He knew our names. He knew before you were even born that you would be going through this situation right now. He also knew the solutions to all of your problems before you were born. But sometimes those solutions involve a lot of waiting and praying and trusting. Faith is not easy. One time I heard a woman say on Christian tv that if we could see the answers, if we could know what was going to happen, we would not need faith. I think in Psalms again, we hear David ask how long he is going to have to wait? When is God going to respond and help? Waiting is part of learning how to trust. I think it is even more difficult in this fast-food world today where it is so easy to have what we want quickly. But our Lord is not a fast-food God. He knows what He is doing and what is best for each one of us. So, take a deep breath and look up. He is there. He knows you. He hears you. He makes no mistakes. His ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts. Each day remind yourself that He is bigger than anything that can come against you. He is in control. I pray for you also.

That was beautiful. I forget and you are right in what you said. I have heard that before what you said. I have to keep praying and have faith in G-d to do what He needs to do. I see that you respect Him too by putting the H before his name in Capitol letters too. I also out of respect for Him put a dash in between the G and d, Thank you That you pray for me also. I appreciate what you said. I also read Psalms every day.

Hanni, first of all I believe you.
And I believe you as I also have a similar issue as you.
It is hard to explain it to others, but as you are asking about getting positive thoughts, this is hard to do, I know.
When something wants you to be miserable, it will do everything in its power to make you that way.
I know you and I are stronger than that.
But it does not eliminate the negative energy.
The only thing I can do to get some positive thoughts is go outside ..and some days I am too tired to do so.
Just by walking, looking at trees and the sky and so on..nature is here for us..and that is all I have.
I also give you my friendship..as best I can from so far away.
I have given up with prayer sadly for the time being.

I know you believe me and also understand and yes it is hard to explain to others. I like your ideas on what to do and all I can think of is to get home and avoid people. Thank you for your friendship. I appreciate that. I also know that you know what you are talking about.

I understand your problem. I had it too. I grew up with negativity.
I remember the moment I made the change. I realized that when you think negatively, negative things happen. However, when you think positively, positive things happen. I started thinking and saying positive things from that moment and my life turned around.

Positive thinking requires that you face unpleasantness in a more positive and productive way. You think the best is going to happen, not the worst. If the thoughts that run through your head are mostly negative, your outlook on life is more likely pessimistic.
