Babies Born on Leap Day

They only have a birthday every 4 years. My daughter was born in a Leap Year, and she had two due dates. One was February 15th, and the other was March 3rd. I was so afraid she would be born on February 29th. I mean, which day would I choose to be her celebrated birthday the other years? February 28th or March 1st? Happily, she was born on March 3rd.
I have a friend whose daughter is now going through this. Her baby is due soon. She thinks it would be great if her baby is born on Leap Day. Her mom asked her which day she would celebrate the birthday on the other years. She said March 1st. Both my friend and I would choose February 28th since the real birthday is in the month of February.
Which would you pick? Has this happened to you or anyone you know?

Our daughter was born on February 29. My husband tried to talk the doctor into writing her date of birth as February 28, but of course he wouldn't.

@1creekgirl I guess I wasn't very clear with my question. By what day did you celebrate, I meant what day did you call her birthday? Feb 28th or March 1st.

I would choose March 1. I don't know of anyone except one person here that was born on February 29. Have a good day.
