Egg Cups

I love egg cups. It is an eminently civilised manner of eating a boiled egg. The egg comes out easily, you don't need to burn your hands, its a neat and it keeps the egg warm.
But I see, after some trawling on the net, that you can have an egg cozy on top of the cup too! What an absolutely adorable way to present the humble boiled egg!
When I showed this and expressed my heartfelt desire to dress boiled eggs in this lovable manner to the wife, a woman I have known 30+ years mind, the reply was at once acidic, unprintable (in fact it would make your screen melt), and downright unexpectedly rude.
Things went further downhill when I dared mention that they can be customised as his and hers, or with names on.
And further downhill still when I expressed the reasonable argument that my sisters would happily crochet these for us.
Somebody's mouth needs a lot of soap tonight, whew! Anyway, I still find this quite adorable (and I'll have my own made, she will get jealous of my adorable boiled egg plating eventually).
Image from ravelry.com, I'll post my own when I've got made.

Hmm, I've got in storage 6 from Holland, 2 from Germany and 4 from an antique store in SA. I never get to eat enough eggs to get to use them all.

I think those are so cute. Why doesn't your wife like them? More stuff to fuss over?
