Several months ago, I noticed every time I swallowed a pill, while I had no trouble physically doing so, it made me want to throw up (and I did once). I guess after so many years, my body just got tired of it. I decided to look for a way to take my vitamins and supplements in a way that did not involve taking a pill. My neurologist had instructed me to take Magnesium Glycinate, so when I saw this coffee with magnesium glycinate, I thought, why not try this? It saves me from taking 3 capsules, and it tastes pretty good to me.
Do you get tired of taking pills, whether it be prescriptions or vitamins? When did you start drinking coffee, if indeed you do?

Yes, I get tired of taking pills. I am a young person and my brother always criticizes me because I take too many pills. If I am taking magnesium I won't take calcium. I can't take all the supplements at once. I am taking medication for anxiety and I should take something for liver protection. I just skip it because I can't take so many pills. And I can't swallow them. I had to chew my pills.

I get tired of taking meds. Often times I just want to stop. However, I know I have to. More importantly, I have to make sure George takes his pills. I do drink coffee, but rarely. I just don't have the taste for it. I want to say a good fifteen or so years ago I started drinking it, because we were still living in apartments.

I don't mind and have any trouble taking pills. I have liked coffee since childhood.

I haven't had a coffee since Thursday morning because I've been unwell.
Tomorrow I will be able to have one I hope.
I have to take 6 pills every morning, I don't love it, but I am thankful for living during a time period when medications can keep underlying health issues at bay and allow me to live a normal life.

Luckily I don't have to take any pills, because I would certainly get to dread it quite quickly. I do take a multivitamin or vitamin D occasionally when I remember. And I started drinking coffee as a child, when my parents had a cup I would have a little cup of milky instant coffee. Not very often though (they generally drank tea). Now I generally have a couple of cups a day.
I had never heard of magnesium glycinate and had to look it up. The info I found says it may help with short-term memory. If that was true it would be worth it because my memory (for certain things, like facts for exams) has always been rubbish.

With all of the things you are responsible for, it makes sense that you might forget a few things. I take Magnesium Glycinate because it is supposed to help with migraines by acting as a natural muscle relaxer. Which makes it also good for people with insomnia. Two other Mylotters have mentioned to me they take it for sleep, and one also takes it for migraines. It doesn’t make me sleepy though; not at all. I would be thrilled if it helped my memory, and I hope it does.

Pills don't bother me too much. I started drinking coffee in college. Most people I know seem to start around that general age as well.

I was never consistent with taking vitamins until recent years - maybe back then I did get tired of taking them . I have always loved the smell/taste of coffee - even in my childhood. Sometimes I was allowed to make my dad instant coffee when he came home from work . . . I would sneak in a spoonful for me . But real coffee drinking started maybe when I was about 20 . . . I had a job where my boss would make it every morning and it was an everyday ritual to drink it first thing.

I had a bad incident with choking way back in the 1980s. Since then and along with my anxiety I cannot swallow pills, So when I take vitamins I use the gummy kind, It's strange since my husband passed I cannot drink coffee. We had coffee in different ways and I think it must be the memories, I now drink iced tea,

I have to take a bunch of pills at noon and midnight every day. I get tired of it; but it must be done! I haven't had a cup of coffee for almost a month now. With hubs in rehab and the hospital, he's not here to make it for me. :-( Hope you have a good day.

If it was cold and rainy and I walked home from school, mom would give me coffee, heavy on sugar and cream and I would stand on the floor furnace and drink it. No such thing as instant hot chocolate then. Mom did not drive so this was a thing that happened sometimes. Grandma gave me coffee as young as 8 and it would hold a spoon upright, it was that strong. I had periods when I did not drink it, but mostly I have been a coffee drinker for about sixty years.

I've drunk coffee for a long time. I also take numerous pills in the morning and evening. So far it doesn't bother me.

I started drinking coffee because I found out that it helps with Fatty Liver. and from the last blood test, the liver function has improved. I also try to only eat whole wheat bread, beets, carrots, garlic, salads, not much wheat, or meat. So the whole regimen seems to be working. I did take Milk Thistle capsules, but now I am exploring buying the seeds and making it into tea. I drink one cup of coffee a day, only in the morning otherwise I can't sleep at night.

@AmbiePam Yes, there are a few studies that show that the caffine really helps the liver function better. So I started drinking one cup in the morning, and maybe one cup of tea too. Especially if I am teaching online so I have the cup near my desk and I fill up when the cup is too cold.
