Why was there a baby bird head on my floor this morning? I think Kitty is beng selfish.

I stumbled over something on the way to my kitchen this morning. It was cold but felt organic. I picked it up and examined it. It was the head of a baby bird. There was no body, and only about two feathers. You know what this means! Kitty i bringing home some Spring delicacies and NOT SHARING THEM WITH ME. We'll see how much wet food she gets today! Wait. Her water dish is running low. Gotta go.

You’re raising a killer. You might need to look into feline therapy.

I am more worried that I am raising a selfish killer. She used to share with me.

Kitty is showing you who's boss. I bet she got wet food too besides a full water dish.

Yes, but it was slightly less than she usually gets. I showed her a thing or two.

@TheHorse Did you now? Did you show her the proper way to catch a bird? Did you show her the proper way to dispose of the bird? Or did you fill her water bowl and give her some wet food?

Some years ago, when Luna was young, I caught her with a still alive dove between her teeth. I yelled NO!!! and took it out. The dove was saved. Luna learns immediatly. Now I can´t tell her not to share her dish of food with the doves.

@TheHorse Before I said no, she thought that doves were edible.

Poor baby bird. Cats are hunters, the cat of my neighbors eat the birds.

@TheHorse My cat is not a hunter and I am really grateful of this.

@Tampa_girl7 Not enough meat on it. And the brain was probably still developing.

I have an outdoor cat and she does the same. She kills beautiful birds.

Cats are so mean. One of the barn cats was playing with a mole today

I sure hope she doesn't become a serial killer. Poor birdy. My first cat a female named Cha Cha was fond of giant grasshoppers. She'd dine on them and leave the legs behind on the floor or table or wherever she was eating,

@TheHorse I am not sure I have seen a full picture of Kitty. She is adorable in the picture. I have no idea what she is like in real life. Maybe she wanted to bring you a present but if she is keeping it to herself I would say she is not very nice for not wanting to share with you.

Eww. My little girl, Inga, came home with chipmunk feet sticking out of her mouth. I didn't let her in. Have a good day.

A friend recently had her cat bring in a mouse that was alive, and drop it on the kitchen floor. She chased that mouse for 2 days and was extremely unhappy about it, I don't blame her. She swears her kitty isn't going outside anymore, but she will relent eventually. A bird head before coffee should be against the law!
