The house if filled with a wonderful aroma

First thing this morning, I roasted a batch of coffee beans and it filled the house with the pleasant, to me anyway, scent of freshly roasted coffee.
The beans are resting in the sunroom after cooling off. They have to cool quickly or they'll keep cooking and the coffee will become too bitter for my taste.
I wait at least a day after roasting to grind any of the beans, so tomorrow morning I will enjoy a cup of freshly roasted, freshly ground coffee.
Today's photo is the title picture for a web novel I am serializing on Medium.
How did your day start?

I started my day by getting out of bed . Sorry couldn't resist. I get online usually and then feed the barn cats before eating breakfast

I just wrote a post about my morning which wasn´t a good as yours. I read some news and they depressed me. But coffee mends everything and here I am, mylotting with a cup of coffee at my side. I can imagine the aroma that you have at your house.

@DWDavis I discovered yesterday that I´m out of a lot of those delicious things It seems that my idea of not buying anything else until next month will not be possible.

Where did you find a coffee roaster? Was it expensive?

@snowy22315 The beans I've roasted so far were a Christmas present from my future daughter-in-law.

Roasting coffee beans is easy. Roasting them so that they produce the flavor you want after grinding and brewing takes a lot of experimentation. I've enjoyed finding the combination of temperature, time, and grind that works best for me. I also brew using a French Press.

@RebeccasFarm The cafe in Carolina Beach is called Crush and Grind.
The Caffeinated Grape Cafe is set in my fictional town of Buzby Beach.

I love the smell of coffee brewing. Started out by getting to the hospital at 7 am for my husband's surgery. Surgery was aborted in the OR when his blood pressure dropped and his heart rate was too high. Being transported to Cleveland Clinic to have the surgery done there. Have a good day.

@LindaOHio If the folks at the Cleveland Clinic trust it, I'm sure it must offer excellent care.

I woke up, and I’m still in my hotel bed, checking through myLot. I’ll get up and head to Austin (Texas) soon.
It’s funny that I can’t stand the taste of coffee, but I LOVE the smell of freshly ground or roasted coffee.

My day started with a nice hot steaming cup of Folgers. Certainly didn't smell as good as your roasting beans but it did the trick.

I read several articles and watched a lot of videos on the subject before trying it myself. Today was my fourth attempt. I liked the way the third batch came out but want a bit stronger flavor. I'm hoping today's roast will give me that. If it's not quite what I'm searching for, there's always a fifth time and a sixth ...
