Is Time Only Our Imagination?

Or does it really exist? If you are bored, time goes slowly. Thus if you put your attention to something, time goes fast. If we exercise, time seems to speed by. If we are enjoying ourselves, again, time speeds by. Time slows down when we are sad it seems. Is time something we can control? They say time flies, though I have never seen it. Anyone have a theory or comment about time as we know or imagine it?

I remember hearing something somewhere, that suggests that time is what we create it to be in our minds. Or, rather our preception of it. Time continues to move, reguardless of what we do.

The older I get, time flies so fast. It’s the end of the month again.

No, no, no - you've got it all wrong! Time goes really slowly when you're exercising!

All I know about time is that when I am not busy doing something, time moves slow. But when I am working, it moves quickly.

I was thinking that if one is not enjoying exercise, surely time will slow down.

That’s some interesting thinking. Time really does seem to speed up or slow down depending on what we are doing. I wish it went by slower when we were having fun .

With my writing, blogging, and posting time always seems to fly by. It seems my cats only notice that light of day and the dark of night but to them it might as well all be one long day,

@RebeccasFarm If I am having trouble doing them it drags. If it's going well then it goes by fast.

No, I think we can't control time. In time we aren't young anymore.

I don't think we can control time in our lives like we think we can but I know time flies from Jan to April then it starts to slow down that's what I have been noticing as of lately, it may be just me?

“When you sit with a nice girl for two hours you think it’s only a minute, but when you sit on a hot stove for a minute you think it’s two hours. That’s relativity.” thus Einstein explained relativity to the common folks.

Time is just the progression of events from the past into the future. If the event is pleasant, we think time goes fast. If we feel sad, our perception is that it slows down. Events come and go. Therefore, we cannot control time.

And I also believe time will fly no matter how we try to slow it. We age and that is that.
