After two days of country music, welcome to McDonald’s, where you deserve a break today. So today’s song with “live” or “living” in the title will flush the hay out of your ears. Here’s today’s song. Easy Livin’ - Uriah Heep Bet you didn’t know that guy in David Copperfield even sang, did you! If you didn’t know, that’s where the hard rocking band featured today got its name. This was their only U.S. top 40 hit (and barely cracked the top 40 at that), but its driving guitars made it an FM/classic rock staple. This one goes to eleven, as Nigel said in This Is Spinal Tap. Easy Livin’ Written by Ken Hensley Recorded by Uriah Heep From Demons and Wizards, 1972 Somewhere along the lonely road:

That’s “not safe for driving” music.

They were quite popular in Europe. This was their only hit in America.

For some reason the video played but was mute. Regardless, I don't know this song. Have a good week.

You might have your You Tube video sound on mute. That’s happened a few days in a row now.

@LindaOHio — great! Glad to hear it! (And just in time for a country song. )

Never got into their music at all. I was listening to more mellow singer songwriter stuff back then. Listening to this one, I made the right decision.

I think the opening guitar of Blondie’s “Call Me” borrowed from the opening guitar of this song.

You would think being a rock fan, this song would have hit my radar at some point, but it's the first time I have heard it. Kind of reminded me of something I might hear from Iron Maiden. Not a bad song, but still won't make my playlist.

You have to remember that, back in the 60s and 70s, radio stations were independent entities, not owned by 2-3 corporations with someone who can’t spell music programming what’s heard on them. I got to hear a lot more Outlaws than you did because I lived near Tampa, where they were from, in 1975. So a song that was popular in one part of the country may never have been heard in another part of the country.

Hard rock in the 70s. I was living in a cave at the time, too.
