I made my Fried Rice with sausage. I cut up onions (a few slices). I buy Register smoked sausage, comes with 3 long links. Kind of like Kilbalsa. I cut that into slices. Cook all that together, boil some water. When the sausage/onions are cooked, I add a box of Rice-A-Roni Fried Rice. Cook that with the meat and onion for a few minutes. Then add 2 cups of boiling water and the seasoning pack. Then I add some frozen peas and carrots and Let it simmer for about 15-20 min. and it is ready to eat.

Rice-A-Roni is my favorite, but thru the years they changed their Fried Rice. They used to have Fried Rice with almonds, and the flavor was sooo good. It was good as a side dish...in fact sometimes after the kids grew up, I would just eat the fried rice for dinner. But they no longer put almonds in their fried rice. Still a good flavor, but the almonds really gave it that nutty flavor.

Fried rice is so popular in Indonesia. We call it nasi goreng

I love it..Rice a Roni used to have almonds in their fried rice...I would fix that for my supper..no meat..sometimes a veggie in it...but the flavor with the almond slivers was sooooo good.
