Firefighters in New York rescue families from a burning apartment

New York Fire Department (NYFD) firefighters answered an emergency call on Monday morning when a fire broke out in a Norwood apartment building in the Bronx. About 60 firefighters along with Emergency Medical Services to take care of the residents who climbed out of the burning apartment safely. The fire that began on the third floor of the apartment was put out in about one hour. Three persons were treated by the first responders for minor injuries from the fire. The victims of the apartment have found temporary housing courtesy of the American Red Cross. The authorities are investigating the cause of the fire at this time.
