My Day Is Off To A Very Slow Start

Happy Thursday Everyone! todays forecast said cloudy and rain. I woke up to sun coming through my window and was pleasantly surprised. Here we are a few hours later and the clouds have moved in and it certainly looks like it's going to pour.
I had the worst nights sleep last night. My knees were/are aching and I had a pain in my right hip and no matter how I tossed and turned I couldn't get comfortable. Needless to say, I'm tired this morning and my knees are really bad. Guess it's the change in weather that's flaring up my arthritis. Getting old certainly does come with aches and pains.
I'm sitting here with my coffee and the heating pad on my knees. Thankfully the dog is sound asleep on the sofa and not paying any attention to me. Usually when I open the laptop she takes that as a signal to want to share my lap.
My recliner and I are going to be best buddies today. I have plenty to keep me busy while I sit on my butt (crocheting, books, tv and of course visiting here on myLot).
That about sums up what my day looks like. Anything exciting happening with you today?

This wet weather sure is hard on the old joints and muscles. I hope you get some relief from the pain soon.

We've had a decent amount of rain considering we had almost no snow. It's weird how some places are needing rain while others have too much.

@Marilynda1225 It is crazy show spotty the rain is. You have it and you are to our south west, Eva has it and she is south of us. It is all around but not here.
I hope that the situation improves because the destination that we've choose for our summer holiday is up on Lake Superior and we would be driving through alot of bush area, and we will not be able to go if there are wildfires. It is on my hub's bucket list to go up there and I think that it would be alot of fun.

My knees usually act up when it's cold and damp but today it's fairly mild so I'm baffled that my knees hurt as much as they do.

Thank goodness for heating pads. It was a beautiful day here today...but we are in for it on Saturday..and Friday will probably be cloudy.

Our weather was warm and partly cloudy, I hope you knees feel better soon, It is Bike Week in my world and the poor cats they get on their favorite chair by the window in my workroom to get some sunshine and then a revving bike goes by and they get scared and go running off.

Senior pain is really a pain! I've been in such pain sitting for hours in a wheelchair when visiting my husband. I get a break for a few days as my SIL is going back to Phoenix today; and my husband's cousin will only be able to take me once a week. Have a good weekend.
