Sometimes myLot is a Source

As many of you here are aware, since I have mentioned it many times in the past, outside of here I write blogs and other commentary on other sites and for other platforms more geared towards actual writing, and sometimes what I write here becomes a source for something I write somewhere else. Because sometimes certain parts and pieces I take from here are very close, or some lines identical, I tend to delete those posts from here to avoid getting plagiarism strikes since sometimes certain sites will accuse you of it even if the work is yours and even if you can prove it. There is rarely an actual "body" you can talk to to say, "Hey, I actually did write this." That was the decision I made with my recent post, "The Not So State of the Union," which I simply feel is better suited to my wider and larger audience in other media circles. Do things you write about here ever become a source for other places you write?

I cannot say that I am a writer, I even stopped writing here, but I like to comment and interact with people. I am only in myLot.

@LovesEverybody I did not stop commenting, I stopped writing posts more than one year ago.

When did you stop writing here? I just replied to something you wrote not long ago.

@LadyDuck that is good to know you are still here. When I am here I may write a post but not as many as I notice others write. I find it hard to write posts but when I am finished writing I realize what a great time I had writing it. So, I want to try writing some posts but I just don't know when or about what.

This is the only place I write but I can see where it could be a problem for you writing similar articles for other sites.

Yeah. I don't always know what they (the other sites) are looking at. Granted, MOST of the time what I do here is not "writing" per se, and usually quite short compared to the actual writing I do. Still, why take chances?

@porwest what I do here I wouldn't consider writing either, just daily chatting. I can understand that you wouldn't want to jeopardize any writing you do elsewhere. Hope you do well with your other sites.

@Marilynda1225 I consider my writing I do outside of here part of my living. It's not THAT much. But after decades of doing it, it pays well enough.

I'm not a writer, I actually do a lot of reading.

Many here aren't writers, and that's fine for a site like this which I don't really consider a writing site, but rather a social media site.

Yes, they do. They also give me ideas about what to write. I now have a website and will write there and here. I need to keep them separate.

@porwest It's on my profile information. I just tried it, and it goes right to it. I deleted the test site, so I need to get everything set up again under the tabs.

Not for me. This is the only site I write on. It's almost impossible sometimes to talk to a 'body' as you so cleverly put it.

That seems to be the case with so many things these days. You should hear me when I call customer service and have to deal with a robot trying to get to a real person. Very frustrating.

The things I write here are intended for myLot eyes only. My stuff is more like a journal entry, which is enough for "here" - I don't write anywhere else. But I could see how it could be another stepping stone for writers who have other places to be . . . more power to ya.

I do have a blog on wordpress that I have the same stuff on there and here. I was thrown off of Textbroker. I loved that site, but they didn't have much I could do now. And now with the AI stuff I'm glad I'm no longer on that site. I like that quote.

They used to be. The only place I write for today is MyLot. Have a good day.

Yes, I did this in the past when I used several sites. But they are all gone.

For this kind of writing, that we do here, yeah. There used to be many more options. myLot is sort of the last of the breed.

The other places I write has no other people reading it so I don't have to worry about some 1 saying something about what I write cause it's none of their business. Which reminds me I have to get caught up with my writing sites like my blogger & my journal site that I'm writing on about how my health is doing & the cabin.

I enjoy having a large audience. Besides it paying well, I feel like I have a stronger voice to share my thoughts and ideas. If I only ever get to talk to myself, I am literally preaching to the choir. lol
