Another March Snow Storm

We got a light dusting of snow last night, probably about two inches total. No, it wasn't a heavy snow storm, but it was more than anyone wanted:( Except for skiers and snow mobilers.
Yet, I can't complain because, this winter has been very mild so far. Michigan, years back, would get hammered with heavy duty blizzards, that immobilized us for days. Twelve inches of snow, in one single day.
I guess this is a result of the "global warming" that I don't fully understand. Whatever is causing these changes in weather patterns, it's a mystery to me.

We've had the same type of winter here. It has been that way for the past 3 or 4 winters. I guess this is going to be our winters now.

For the past few years, winters in Michigan have been quite mild, with smaller amounts of snow.

We woke up to snow today also.
This afternoon is quite blustery and miserable out, more like February weather than March, but then the weather we had in February was more like that of March.
From what I understand the global warming makes for the extreme differences in our weather. The mega storms, rain or snow, the extreme highs and lows in temperatures. And of course the dryness which causes wildfires.

@kobesbuddy I feel for the parents of school-aged children, as this coming week, which will be on the cold side, is March Break week. The kids will all be housebound.

@Juliaacv When we had spring break in Tawas, it was always around the Easter holiday.

We had a very dry summer last year, very hot. It is cold today, in the low 30s but windy, as March usually brings.

@kobesbuddy Not at all, our glaciers are melting and we have avalanches because the temperature is too warm.

@kobesbuddy .......Same here. I hated when it snowed over night because of the possible black ice under the snow. That was always something that made me nervous driving to work.

We just got a light dusting...less than an inch. It should melt today. Global warming/climate change is definitely the reason for these changing weather patterns. Have a good week.

That's a beautiful picture. We have a pretty cold winter. We don't have snow but the temperature dropped to almost 4C on a number of days which was cold by our standard.

We are getting a light wind today, typical of March weather. Night before last, we had a heavy downpour of rain.
