Lots of outings and a scam call

Monday my husband had a recheck on his eyes which developed floaters about two weeks ago. There has been no change.
After his appointment we ate breakfast at McDonald’s went to an aquarium and before heading home we got donuts at Krispie Kreme.
Tuesday my little one and I made fresh squeeze orange juice and she loved it.
Wednesday my husband got a scam call he felt was very alarming. They knew the last four digits of his social security number and called him on his work phone. They said he owed $1000 for a small loan he took out by they would not give him proof. He was all worried but I pointed about a lot of things that told me it was a scam.
Thursday I took my little one to a story hour about 20 minutes from my house. They made cards and a little gift bag of Valentine’s Day things. The theme they did was kindness so they gave each child a kindness chart and stickers to add to their calendar.
I had a lot of errands to run while I was out so it was a pretty busy day.
Friday I had to do some things in town and it was a nice day so my little one and I went to the playground.
Saturday my niece delivered a package for my little one. She had crotched her a match cardigan, hat and purse.
Nothing much to talk about for Sunday.
Photo is unrelated. Just something beautiful I saw in a thrift shop in June.

Lousy scammers, if hubby knew he hadn't taken out a loan he had nothing to worry about. Did they call on his cell or work number? If they called his work number, phone..I might be concerned.

@snowy22315 it was on his work phone. The only thing I could think of is he just did his taxes online I’m wondering if there was a data breech on the site he used that there were able to get this information.

@shaggin That sounds likely. They say there are a lot of scams going on now with tax returns.

@BarbaraPrz they had planned a Valentine’s Day story time but the woman who does the story hour was really sick so it was canceled. No one showed up to the story hour the week before this so she gave them to the kids who attended this one.

I know that those scam calls are alarming, we also received one last week, someone pretended to be from the Federal Police Office and that my husband did something wrong while driving. I am glad I knew we were at home the day they pretended he had a problem. I would not be worried about that call.

Thanks for the update. I certainly would not worry about a scam call such as that. The lighter is beautiful. You certainly lead a busy life. Have a good week.

@LindOhio since I take care of the bills I think my husband was worried I had let something go to collections or something. I wasn’t worried because I knew so many signs showed it was a scam but for some reason he was believing it.
Yes I stay quite busy. Didn’t have time to respond to all these comments until now I missed sharing a new post for the week.

I've had floaters in my eyes since I was around forty. They are now worse than they were then.
Most people don't have any problems from them. He shouldn't worry about it and just get his normal checkups.

@Marshamusselman his mother has very little eyesite left in her one eye. I worry his will get that bad someday. They had a genetic condition that is causing it our little one has it to I pray she doesn’t have the same problems some day.

@MarshaMusselman interesting it can reattach itself that way in your case. Retinal detachment is common with his condition. It happened to he and his sister both at about 10-12 years old. We thought it had happened again when he needed eye surgery in August but it wound up being that the lens they put in when they did his surgery at 10 had worn out and needed to be replaced.
Sounds like your eye troubles could definitely be a genetic issue if it runs in your mother’s side. We would have never knew any of the people in my husbands mothers side had this condition if it hadn’t been for another genetic condition we had her tested for as a newborn. Both conditions are terrible I feel terrible we passed on such bad genetics to her.

@shaggin are they saying that floaters is a precursor to the condition? If so then maybe they are a precursor to several conditions.
I have a problem with the vitreous in my left eye becoming detached. It was more bothering several years ago than it is now and with my being retired from the one job hopefully it won't be a problem anymore.
I was told that as people get into their sixties the fibers holding the vitreous in place begins shrinking. It only causes a problem for a small percentage of the population.
It's possible that because eye disease runs in my mom's side that is related but I'm not sure. For me the vitreous became detached from the optical nerve. If it became detached from the retina then eyesight would be lost. My eye Dr told me if I minimized picking up heavy things that it should become reattached.
Your husband should find out if his floaters are a precursor to what his mom has. There might be something he can do now to prevent it getting worse.
