Not since a handsome Prince Andrew swirled his arm around a young 17-year- hooker in Highgate has a photo generated so much interest in the Royals here. Not contempt on trying to wreck Megs and Harry's relationship the tabloid press are going after William and Kate, the consummate royals in contrast. Kate's been in hospital for a tricky ladies surgery but because she is not wearing her wedding ring these days the internet is awash with speculation they are to divorce and living apart. Most people think the post op drugs that cause swelling are the reason no wedding band. This photo was their families first official one since January. Kate said Wills took it on her phone to commemorate Mothers Day. Internet sleuths quickly revealed some slight photo-shops on the image and it was soon pulled by the Press. It wasn't pulled enough for me to get a copy of it online. The edits are tiny and subtle and cant see the point of her doing them myself. The cynical suggestion is Kate chopped herself into the photo to make it look like William was there and did take it. She has owned up to doing the edits. The real story - and one she may be trying to convey - is the wedding ring isn't there and this is her way to hint at a separation to come. With King Charles battling cancer it maybe the Royal Family want to delay this story to protect the King. There's probably nothing in it but it kicked the Gaza trip off the headlines.
