Today didn't go too badly. My neighbor drove me today, and I saw where the place was. When it was over, the assessor told me where the nearest bus stop was, and I had no trouble finding it after. There was another guy there who seemed to be starting the process like me, and another guy came in a little later who seemed to be just finishing up. I filled out a paper about myself, then some papers about what kind of job I'd like to do--then there was a second one where I was supposed to indicate from the list what kinds of jobs I'd like to do--but not the same types I'd indicated on the first set of papers. There was a 20-minute break, during which I read, and then I did a typing test and a (GULP! ) math test---partly long division and fractions. ICK! After I was done I waited for the bus at the stop I'd been shown, then went to that town's main bus stop and caught another bus that brought me back where I live, and I didn't realize that I could have stopped at a stop so close to home and missed it. My neighbor said she'd pick me up, when I asked her to pick me up where I'd stopped, but I waited half an hour and she still didn't come, and when I texted asking her where she was she asked if I was at the place yet, and I told her that I was at the place where I asked her to pick me up when I'd texted her the first time, and she said I hadn't been clear. Oh, well--I didn't tell her otherwise. She's older, and I hope someone's patient with me when I'm older. Tomorrow I'll stop at that stop closer to home and walk. After I got home and turned on the computer to warm up, I went to get the mail--a sale paper and something I think is from someone in the exchange slip group--from Germany. I don't know what the teacher/assessor/whatever his title is has in store for me tomorrow, but I guess I'll see when I get there.
