I believe this is caused by the eye strain caused by the over exposure to computer radiation. You must have your monitor filter to lessen the radiation. So i suggest to even make it double or better yet use an eye glasses. Thanks

I think that is completely normal for anybody to have headaches when spending so much time staring at PC monitor. The headache maybe is caused by eye strain or eye fatigue.
My suggestion is for you to take in between breaks and relax your eyes a little, as little as five minutes would do.
Headaches maybe caused by stress also or even a medical problem. You have to consult a doctor if this continue to bother you.

in USA there is HEAD ACHE CLUB OF USA which lists 1000 different headaches. The common ones occur due to:
1. worries
2. due to improper food habits
3. unorganised sleeping habits
4. due to excessive work on one particular thing
5. Due to continuous walking in sun
6. Due to indegestion
7. Due to eight sight problem
8. Migrane headache
9. Due to stress
10. Due to agitated mind
There are so many. My sister gets headache if she travels more than 25 kms. She gets for eye sight problem. She gets for excessive talking. She gets when she picks up quarrel with some one in the family.
SUGGESTIONS
1.Sleep 8 hours without worries
2. Write down the worries and write remedies for it before you sleep and tell your mind that they are taken care
3. Drink 2 litres of water every day
4. Eat non-oily food, avoid fat food, and junk food, try more of vegetables
5. Do 1 hour exercise - static cycling if you do not like to take a brisk walk.
6. When you work in front of computer for every hour, just get out and walk for a while inside the house or room, do something else for some time.

If you are experiencing this kind of headache only during the times when you are in front of your computer, this might be due to eye strain. If your pc monitor is a CRT type, better shield it with a radiation protector. Try adjusting the monitor brightness and contrast to the level that you would feel less eye strained. Better yet, try using an LCD monitor.
I also experienced headaches before when my pc monitor was still CRT. If it doesn't help, better have an eye check-up.

I would take more breaks from the screen and maybe go see your Dr. There could be underlying problems. You might need glasses if you don't wear them already. Do not take your eyes for granted, you will need them for the rest of your life.

Reduce the amount of time in front of the computer. This might mean that you are having problems with your eyes.

If you are getting headaches a lot when you are sitting in front of the computer I would suggest that you arrange to have an eye test. I would think you probably need glasses but you must arrange an eye test as soon as possible. Also take a lot of breaks and don't stay at the computer for long periods. Hope you get better.
