An hour ago I saw a funeral procession passing from in front of my house. There were around 100 people in the procession;but none of them was from among my acquaintances.
I remember my elder brother advising me to bow to the deceased person and pray for him when I happen to see a funeral procession??
I did exactly that.
And I'm remembering my elder brother also who too had passed away in 2005.
Do you pray for the departed soul when you come across a funeral procession??

@LadyDuck. Making the sign of cross is the same. You too pray;though in a different way.

@Shivram59 It's just a way to show respect to the deceased person.

@RebeccasFarm I highly appreciate that. The person would never come back.We should pay him or her respect for them.
