Enough of this rock and roll! I’ve lived all my life listening to country music, and so you’re going to as well! Earlier someone mentioned that this guy made her sick, and that’s understandable: all of music is personal taste, just like food. So here’s today’s “Linda? NO!!!!!!!!!!!” country music “live” song. Love’s Gonna Live Here - Buck Owens This song was #1 for four months (16 weeks) in 1963. To give you some indication of what a feat that was, it took 49 years for a song to spend more than 10 weeks (or two and a half months) at #1 on the country charts. And this pretty much set Buck Owens on the road to his legendary status. When rock groups drop your name in a song, you’re something. So get out that dinosaur Victrola and listen to Buck Owens with John Fogerty! Love’s Gonna Live Here Written by Buck Owens Recorded by Buck Owens Released as a single, 1963 No more loneliness, only happiness:

One of those old time country tunes I think would do just as well if it were released today as new. Cheers to Buck. He was a cool cat. Or deer. Or something.

Yeah, Buck was pretty amazing. The Beatles must’ve liked him if they covered “Act Naturally.”

@porwest — sort of an “I know I’m ugly but you should see all the chicks I get after the show” look.

@FourWalls He did have a funny look about him sometimes when he sang. Like he was looking up into the air trying to see the words.

If Buck hadn’t had Don Rich (on the left in the screen grab) I probably wouldn’t have been a big fan, either.
