Members of the Broward County Fire Rescue (BCFR) were on patrol in Dania Beach on Saturday morning when they saw a pelican who was having a hard time staying afloat since the pelican was trapped in a fishing line. Four firefighters with the BCFR were able to carefully remove the fishing line and save the pelican from harm or even passing away. After the pelican was released by the firefighters, the pelican was taken to the South Florida Wildlife Care Center in Daria Beach the same day. Hopefully the pelican will be able to make a full recovery from its injuries. Link is lkocal10.com/en-us/news/pol....

Fishing lines and nets do a lot of damage to sea birds and animals.
