Firefighters rescue a horse that was stuck in deep mud

Thanks to the efforts of the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) who answered an emergency call from a concerned animal lover who saw a horse that was stuck in deep mud on Monday, the firefighters were able to rescue the horse that was in the Hansen Dam Recreation Center in the Shadow Hills area by using shovels to dig the horse out after they diverted water and then use a tow strap to remove the horse from the mud trap. The good news is that the horse after he or she was free from the mud trap appears to be in good health. Your guess is as good as mine how did the horse wind up the mud trap in the first place.
