@1creekgirl Well, you’re talking to a girl who didn’t do much on the cruise. The one with your whole family sounds like the absolute best. Mine had my dad’s family, but I didn’t have much energy.

Thanks, Amber. Dale and I both have Covid now. The cruise was such a disappointment, although we did enjoy the food. I was excited about singing karaoke, but the crowd was noisy, rowdy, and had way too much to drink. No one ever listened to the person singing. The spa offered a complimentary three minute facial makeover. There's only so much you can do in three minutes, but I decided to try it. The girl came to the waiting room, put some gel under my eyes for dark circles and bronzer on my cheek bones. I kept telling her I didn't need bronzer, I have cheeks that are too pink. And the gel did nothing. Then she tried to sell me the gel for $49 and the bronzer for $149! It was a cruise infomercial. They just try to hustle you to buy stuff that is inferior, imitation, and four times as expensive. I had a massage last time and really enjoyed it. Carnival cruise line has dropped way down. It's more how much money they can make than making sure the passengers enjoy it.

@AmbiePam I think the Covid is a touch better than it was on Saturday. This is the third time Dale has had it. The cruise on this same ship four years ago with our family was so much nicer. I told Dale that's it for karaoke for me. I'd much rather sing in church. I'm glad that Christian cruise was much nicer for you all.

@1creekgirl Oh wait, you both have covid??? Argh! Well I hope the virus strain behaves itself and that you both recover soon. How are you feeling today?

Dale and I both have Covid. And the cruise certainly wasn't worth it. Carnival packs so many people on there that it just isn't fun.

About four years ago we went on this same ship with our family and really enjoyed it. On Elegant night we had lovely and relaxing dinner in the main dining room. This time I had a wall right next to me and a space just wide enough to walk through, then another couple right there. We were packed in like sardines. Just one example of why we didn't enjoy it.

@1creekgirl I do have to agree with you. Of course, the cruise line wants every room taken, which makes for a ton of people. Very crowded!

We went to the Bahamas, but it was a little cold.

I sure was glad to be in my own bed. But Dale and I both have Covid. I just had a long nap, so finally feel like answering some notifications. Hope you guys are well.

@1creekgirl - My niece and her little girl also cough a lot since they had Covid.

Dale and I are resting a lot and coughing a lot since we both have Covid.

@1creekgirl I see your point I would have been happier with a Love Boat scene, At least you did get on a cruise and I hope if you do again it will be a better one,

@RasmaSandra At our age, I doubt we'll ever go on a cruise again. Our next vacation will be on a plane or close enough to drive to!

I so much appreciate all the well wishes and prayers for a good cruise, but it was a great disappointment. The food was good and we met a nice couple that we had two meals with, but it was so noisy and so crowded. It's become a floating bar party.

Turns out it wasn't a cold, it's Covid and now Dale has it.

@1creekgirl that is true. It has to run its course.

Those illnesses really can happen. But if you go on a cruise, save up and go on a better cruise line than Carnival.

It really wasn't the cruise it was four years ago. All Carnival cares about is how many people they can pack on there. It's the grace of God we didn't sink.

I did go to Urgent Care yesterday and found out it's Covid and now Dale has it.

Turned out my husband and I both have Covid. I hope you're feeling better now.
