Cheerleading Competition didn't go so well :(

I finally heard back from my grand daughter this morning. She didn't message me last night when she got home because it was late and she knew I would be sleeping. I guess when they competed yesterday they received a major deduction when their whole pyramid came tumbling down. That is all a part of it. I am sure by the time they preformed yesterday evening for the second time they were exhausted. It was a long two days for all of them. She is up at the ER now getting her ring finger x-rayed. She injured it in the fall. She said she was glad it was just her finger, it could have easily been a head injury when something like that happens. Luckily nobody else was injured during the stunt. She said her finger is swollen quite badly and it is very sore. She is hoping to only miss one practice so she can get back to training for their next competition which will be in Montreal on the 18th of April. There is a lot of risk and changes of injury just like in any other spot. When my daughter was a cheerleader in her teens she received a number of concussions during those years and I have seen many injuries watching the competitions over the years.

Oh, how disappointing for them. There would be a lot of pressure on all of them.
