Pond Life on the Underground

Lots of artistic events take place in London, even on the Underground. Most Underground Stations have permanent artwork, but there is an entire disused platform at Gloucester Road Station given over to temporary art displays. At the moment it is an exhibition called Pond Life and that about sums what it is about. I liked it. Incidentally in typical British fashion, Gloucester is pronounced Gloster, so if you’ve been unable to find Gloster Road Tube Station, there it is!

Those are beautiful, it is such a long time that I do not come to London. I remember our teacher was picky about how to pronounce Gloucester.

@Ronrybs - I agree, very confusing for those who are not of native language.

@Ronrybs I blame the Romans! (At least for the 'cester' place-names)

I like to stop at Gloucester Road for a look-see. Rather weird these spellings and pronunciations over here!

@Ronrybs that is a good question. A bit of a mystery.

@Tampa_girl7 Thinking about it, they'd use an engineer train, just like a truck with crane. They could load it up outside and roll it to the spot. Maybe!

That's a great idea to have temporary or permanent displays in such places.

Very pretty art work on display. Gloucester, I know how to pronounce it because of watching some British television shows and hearing it on them.
