A Heavy April Rain Storm

Not last night, but Monday night we had a heavy, April rainstorm. The water poured down in torrents! Of course, the yard is filled with water.
Thank heavens, the driveway has only a few puddles here and there. I really like a good rain shower, as long as I'm watching it from indoors. Actually, it rained all night and this woke me up, a couple times.
I just got up to use the bathroom and then climbed back into my warm bed. Those poor feral cats. I hope they knew enough to find somewhere dry and cozy!
Two of those cats are fairly old, so they are definitely survivors:)

Yikes, that's scary! My daughter's family had this happen, about twenty years ago in North Carolina. Where do you live?

@brenna_g Tornadoes surprise us, quite often. That's why it's vital, to keep a safety plan available. We had five tornadoes rip through our community, in one night! Not one house was torn apart, not one person injured or killed:) Thank God! Trees had fallen, all over the place.

There was no thunder or lightening, just a heavy rain! I love hearing it, from indoors:)

@RebeccasFarm I'm the same way with a blizzard. I love to watch the storm, from indoors:)

We had rain here during the night and several bits of it today. Just had a hale storm and had thunder early. What a day! I hope the cats found a safe place out of the storm.

Those cats are so durable, a couple of them have survived about five summers/winters. I'd say two of them are about five years old:)

@kobesbuddy Pour kitty, the family who moved also left a cat behind, so I adopted the poor boy.

Two of those feral cats are older, they look healthy and well fed. I still leave food out each day. One of the cats, I think it was a pet of the previous people, who lived in this trailer. The left the cat behind, when they moved out.

Two of those cats have survived about 5 winters. They are probably 5 years old.

We had a heavy rainstorm this afternoon and then like it always does in Florida it just stopped. I am sure the cats found shelter,

These cats are good at taking care of themselves, out in the wild.

I love being in bed when it's raining. Hopefully the cats were somewhere dry.

It is true that cats are survivors since my relatives and myself feed some stray cats who managed to survive both rainy weather and cold weather by giving them a nice place to stay outside in the front yard.

We get very cold winters, here in Michigan. People make places for these stray cats, to stay warm and dry. Others put out food each day, so they are always being fed.

It rained cats and dogs and gerbils here. It rained again last night and probably will again today. I just wish it would warm up. I feel sorry for the feral cats. Have a good day.

We still have spirts of winter weather, even though spring has arrived. It's still cold here, not too bad though.
