Monday Morning Brief and Sunday Update

Good morning from a sunny, warm Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. It's currently 45 F and getting up to 63 F today. Warm! My computer says Temps to rise. No kidding. Now it's saying Temps to drop tomorrow. This isn't about the weather except as concerns the solar eclipse this afternoon. We're getting 80% eclipse from 2 PM to 4 PM. I don't have eclipse glasses, but I do have couple of pairs of dark sunglasses. So, first the update for Sunday. You know my Sunday always starts at church. Yesterday was a special day. After church, we had a potluck, annual business meeting, and groundbreaking ceremony. The food was good, the fellowship fantastic, and the groundbreaking windy and fun. I didn't get home until 1:30. With everything I ate, I wasn't surprised to find the scale up a little this morning, but I was surprised it wasn't as much as I expected. I watched a couple movies yesterday, one was on Netflix starring Maggie Smith called The Miracle Club. I recommend it. I also saw a couple of the shows I enjoy. Super Girl and Daktari on Netflix and Tubi respectively. I wanted two things in the worst way yesterday, one to get on the computer, and two, to play a game. I'm so glad today is Monday. I really felt like I was in withdrawal yesterday and it was only one day. So today my plans include the eclipse, spending time with you in your world, working on a book, and yes, searching for a new game to play. Or I might re-install another game I enjoyed, but got rid of when I got rid of games a few months ago except for solitaire and Mahjong. I'm looking for a game that doesn't need friends or FB. I ran into that problem with a game I was playing that I totally enjoyed until it needed three FB friends to continue. I'm not on FB and I won't be on FB. Okay that's the plan for today. How's your day going? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me and has nothing to do with the content.

DO NOT USE SUNGLASSES! They will not protect you and you will permanently damage your eyes.

Nice that the scales were not as high as you thought they would be. I haven't even weighed myself in about 2 years. I don't know what I'd do without having access to my compute. What did we do without them before we got them?

I wrote everything down with pen and paper and did my research in the library. It's so much easier with the computer.

@just4him .......It sure is. I used to have so many books because I did research on certain subjects. I have now been able to get rid of many of those books and do a lot of research online I love it.

Do not look at the sun if you only have sunglasses, it would be extremely dangerous for your eyes. You need the special glasses to look at the eclipse.

@just4him I see that also NJ Chicaa told you NOT to use sunglasses. You can get blind using the wrong glasses to watch the sun.

@LadyDuck I didn't, but I also didn't see the eclipse because the DIY didn't work.

I don't have eclipse glasses either and probably won't stare up at the sky anyway. It's a bit cloudy here even though the sun is shining so I don't know how much of the eclipse we'll be able to see here. Hope you can find some games to play. I don't like games that you have to have friends to play with.

@just4him hope you and your friend get the glasses. I've seen people here on our local Facebook page asking if anyone had extras.

Big Fish Games has a ton of games. I bought most of mine on sale. You can preview the games which is great; and I highly recommend the site. Have a good day.

Daktari is a Swahili word meaning Doctor. Have a lovely day today. I'll be watching the eclipse live on YouTube.

I might need to watch it that way too. I did a DIY, but I don't think it works.

Day much better than yesterday. I hardly got any sleep Saturday night and I did not feel well on Sunday. I slept half the day on the couch, and I never sleep during the day. That shows how tired I was. I feel good today..even though generously I got 6 hours..it was a sound sleep. I am going to go with a strict no caffeine rule after 12 and get some decaf to mix in with my coffee.

I'm sorry you didn't get much sleep yesterday. I'm glad you're doing better today. Going without caffeine after 12 is a good idea.

Yeah I don't like games with FB either. That is mainly the reason I got rid of Mistplay because most of their games are FB games. Yesterday my mother made me a cereal box viewer. It was really cool once I got the hang of it. We only had 80% too. Also we had cloud cover too. I worked on my mother's diamond painting yesterday.

Maggie Smith is a marvellous actress. I haven't seen a film of hers that I haven't enjoyed.

I suggest Boogle on line asit is a puzzle game and helps to work the mind as you find words in the grid. Wordshaker is a good version

I do an online puzzle daily. It is good for the mind. I haven't heard of Wordshaker.
