Who's The Boss? Me or the Dog??

Happy Wednesday Everyone! it's gotten cloudy and this afternoon rain. I'm so tired of rain and yesterdays beautiful day was just a tease.
I woke up this morning to the sound of the lawn crew here mowing the lawn. A sure sign that spring is here.
I like to start my day with a cup of coffee and watch my morning talk show and sometimes crochet. Today I decided to crochet while I watched tv but the dog had a different idea. Once I put the crocheting project on my lap and start working on it, that is the signal for the dog to sit on my lap. She could be off doing her own thing but radar goes off when I pull out the crocheting.
Needless to say I had to put the crocheting aside and give her some lovin, Good thing she's cute 
At least she didn't ask to share my coffee
Nothing much going on here today other than the usual stuff to do around the house.

Well you know my day..kind of exciting. I just called about it though..it is still going to be awhile I think. Although she said this area should be ready to go this spring. Now, I just wait for the phone to ring to schedule the install I guess.

Usually the dog is the boss from what I see around here with these folks who have dogs.

The way it was at my house, the dog was definitely the boss. To this day, I have a “catch” in my leg from Freckles sitting on my lap. She HAD to have my left leg crossed over my right knee (never the other way around). I call it “Frecklitis.”

My dog has a certain position too when she sits with me and a different position when she sits with my daughter.

Typical dog behavior. They want all the attention. My husband used to lie on the floor and read his newspaper. Our dog would immediately get up and lie on the newspaper. So cute. Have a good day.

It's a beautiful blue day here. The temp is 63 at 4p.
Maybe giving some attention to the dog should come before getting the crochet stuff.

The dog is lucky that she gained a love for the taste of coffee.
We had a dog that used to like to curl up on my lap and provided that the coffee wasn't steaming too much, she would take a lick or two, I never liked that and used to tap her nose and scold her.

I had a full day writing at my PC, Animals know when to take control depending on what they want. My cat Freddie does not pay much attention to me but when it comes to wanting more food he will jump on the table behind where I sit and loudly meow and I know what that means,

The dog likes you so wanted some loving. That is good that the dog did not want to share your coffee. I understand that you just wanted to relax and the dog thought it was time for you to give him or her some loving. Sorry you could not be left alone to relax.

Well, if you do not have a cat, then it is the dog. Hoomins are too silly to be in charge. But if you have a cat, the dog is 2nd in command.

This will be a hard working day. Luna does not climb into my lap, thanks be given. If she did, I´d have to have a hip or knee replacement. German shepherds are cute but not lap dogs, not even when they are tiny puppies.

Everyone knows dogs rule. I'm glad he doesn't want your coffee. Enjoy your day before the rain. And your coffee.
I'm sure you'll have plenty of time to crochet when he gets tired of your lap.
