Right now I’m watching severe weather coverage out of New Orleans. here in the land of the horse race (which is now less than a month away!), it’s cool and raining. Either way, it’s a good day to stay inside. Let’s continue to celebrate my birth month with a song that’s turning 40 this year. Let’s Hear It for the Boy - Deniece Williams There were a lot of trends in the 80s. One of them was the “blockbuster soundtrack” phase. Oh, and Kenny Loggins ON the “blockbuster soundtrack.” Hey, he was on this one, the popular film Footloose. His theme was one of four hits from that movie soundtrack. You can see the one I went with from the movie. (The two hits not mentioned were “Almost Paradise” and “Holdiing Out for a Hero.”) This is a dancing, fun song that still makes me move my feet after 40 years.
