Earned an extra $131.17 today

I'm a salaried employee so I can't earn extra money simply by working extra hours at school. Staying there until 5 pm doesn't get me anything extra in my paycheck. That being said teachers do have extra opportunities to earn more by covering classes and doing virtual homebound tutoring. I take every opportunity that is offered to me to do those things. If I I already have to be at work then I will happily give up my prep and/or lunch to make some more $$. Same with tutoring--if I'm sitting here at the computer anyway then why not make some money while doing so? I wrote earlier about doing a class coverage for 15 minutes. That was an easy $42.71. I wound up having 2 hours of virtual homebound tutoring this afternoon at $44.23/hour. The total for that is $131.17. That's not bad for 1 day of extra earnings. Tomorrow I have 1 hour of tutoring but I am hopeful that the secretaries will think of me if they need a class covered. Stay tuned!
