Forty hyperbaric treatments. Bob said it was mostly not too bad. It did make pressure in his ears, and they looked a little pink before the treatment. The APRN will have him use some allergy medicines to help protect his ears.
I rescheduled his VA appointment for next month, as this month's appointment was taken care of by him going to the VA ER. I rescheduled my appointment because I did not want to rush. Bob and I had a nice lunch.
He napped some during his treatment, and I napped some in the car. I did not have to stay in the car but I went out and made some phone calls.
Bruno is napping, Bob is napping. I do not know where Bitty is, she would not come in. I may nap as well. I may have worried some about Bob. I did not feel as if I got good sleep.
Basically I am just popping my head in here for now. I will catch up with you for a bit.

This treatment was originally developed to treat divers who went too deep and came back up too fast. Specifically Bob is being treated for radiation damage from his cancer treatment. Hyperbaric helps stroke symptoms, anemia, radiation damage, wounds that will not heal.

@GardenGerty that’s amazing it can help with so much. I did look it up but it didn’t say all you told me.

They are inconvenient, but not invasive. We believe it may help him with a lot of things.

It takes about two hours, allowing for changing clothes and doing any pre op checks he needs.

Day two, it is too early to really tell, but I think he feels good from it.

He did not even need a nap today. I think it is going to help in a lot of ways.

He is treating internal damage from his radiation treatment for cancer he had eight years ago. He is not bothered by the process now that he has it started. It is said to help with bubbles in your blood stream, anemia, strokes, wounds that do not heal, radiation sickness, and carbon monoxide poisoning.

@GardenGerty I hope it works well for him. I know it works for things like non-healing leg ulcers.

I think this is going to be very positive for him. And if it makes him feel better it also makes me feel better.

I am glad it seems the first one went well with no issues. I hope they do what they are supposed to do and help Bob.
